Hvar is claimed to be the most popular Croatian island which you may easily realize while feeling the vibe of its bustling promenade, well-appointed cafes, wine stores, shops and restaurants. Hvar is the sunniest island where lavender scent will follow you as you stroll its medieval streets opening to large sunlit squares by the sea. Today we will sail to Brac Island. Pucisca, the largest village on the island of Brac is an entirely different experience. Nowhere in the system of towns and villages in Damatia does terrain play such a compelling role as in Pucisca with its spectacular irregularity of the steep-sided natural harbour, its authentic Mediterranean architecture and rustic ambience. Pucisca quarry was exploited as early as in the antiquity and the reopening of the quarry took place in 1455. It was from this quarry that stone was excavated to build limestone columns of the White House in Washington DC, the Parliament House in Vienna as well as many other famous buildings all over the world. The only Stonemasonry school in Croatia is located in Pucisca where students carve sculptures from Brac limestone with traditional and unconventional tools that have been used here for centuries. We will spend an evening and night by docking in Makarska, the heart of the so called Makarska Riviera, a city that encompasses picturesque villages at the foot of Biokovo Mountain.

Enjoy another tranquil and relaxing day as we smoothly glide towards Korcula Island having a swim break en route. In the afternoon hours we will arrive in the town of Korcula. Due to its advantageous position in the Adriatic this town used to be a playground for the rich and powerful. Local merchants left behind their deep imprints in Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance palaces, the most significant being the 14th century cathedral of St. Mark. You will find yourself in front of the town walls and the historic town gate, a reminder of glory and power of this little medieval place. It is just down the street that the famous traveller Marco Polo was born in 1254 coming from a noble family of Korcula town. You can savor all the uniqueness of Korcula during the guided tour by strolling its cobbled, narrow and shady lanes where you will find handcraft stores and shops with jewellery made from local coral germs. The rest of the evening is free to enjoy laid back atmosphere of this jewel town and find a restaurant at your choice.
